Thailand visa for affiliate marketers
Foreign-brand affiliate income — Amazon Associates, casino affiliates, SaaS affiliates, sports-betting CPA. Thailand visa + tax setup matters a lot at scale.
Legal status
Affiliate marketing for foreign brands (Amazon Associates, Booking.com partners, foreign SaaS affiliates, foreign casino/sports betting affiliates, foreign fintech CPA) is permitted on DTV — you are doing remote work for foreign companies. Affiliate marketing for Thai brands targeting Thai customers requires work permit + may run into restricted-occupation issues if it crosses into "advertising/marketing services to Thai clients."
Pathway 1 — DTV (default)
Foreign-brand affiliate income above $80k/yr or 500k THB liquid bank: DTV. 5-year multi-entry. Most full-time affiliate marketers we work with qualify on the income test.
Pathway 2 — LTR for high earners
Top affiliates ($500k+/yr from Amazon, casino partners, etc.): LTR Wealthy Global Citizen path. Tax exemption can save $80-200k/yr at this revenue scale.
Pathway 3 — Privilege Visa for affiliate "lifestyle" earners
If your affiliate income runs largely autonomously and you want minimal admin overhead: Privilege at ฿900k membership level.
Tax engineering
Critical for affiliate marketers: many earnings flow through foreign payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, foreign bank accounts). The 2024 remittance rule means ALL of this is Thai-taxable if remitted while you are tax-resident. LTR Wealthy Global Citizen exemption is the only legal escape. Otherwise: stay sub-180 days/yr in Thailand and split residence with a low-tax jurisdiction.
Pattaya scene
Pattaya hosts one of the largest affiliate-marketer communities in Asia. Several 7-figure casino-affiliate operators, Amazon-affiliate site networks, and SaaS-affiliate full-timers based here. Anonymity is valued — don't expect to find them at networking events.
