Every Thai bank in 2026 asks for these. Some require additional items based on nationality.
1 Passport + visa
Original passport + active visa stamp. Visa-exempt and tourist almost never accepted in 2026.
2 Proof of address
TM30 receipt, rental agreement in your name, OR letter from immigration confirming your address.
3 Reference letter
Some banks require letter from immigration office, your employer, or a Thai sponsor. Varies by branch.
4 Initial deposit
฿500–฿2,000 typical opening deposit. Some banks waive for premium accounts; others require ฿10,000+.
