Model your Thai bank balance for visa seasoning requirements
The Bank Balance Checker models whether your current or planned Thai bank account balance meets the seasoning requirements for Non-O retirement or Non-O marriage extensions. "Seasoning" means the money must sit in a Thai bank account for a minimum period before your extension application — it cannot be deposited the night before and withdrawn the next day.

2026 seasoning rules
- Non-O retirement (deposit method): ฿800,000 must be present in a Thai bank account for at least 2 months before the extension application, and must not drop below ฿800,000 at any point during the preceding 12 months (if this is a renewal). For a first-time application, many officers apply a 60-day minimum seasoning window.

- Non-O marriage: ฿400,000 seasoned in Thai bank, or ฿40,000/month income evidence, or a documented combination.
Which Thai banks Jomtien accepts
Jomtien accepts letters from all major Thai commercial banks: Bangkok Bank, Kasikorn (KBank), SCB, Krungsri, and Krungthai. The bank letter must be issued at a branch (not via app), stamped and signed, and dated within 7 days of your extension appointment — many officers enforce 3–5 days in practice. Request the letter the morning of your appointment when possible.
Balance dips and how they are detected
Officers at Jomtien often request 12 months of passbook statements alongside the letter. They scan for dips below the threshold. A dip below ฿800,000 — even briefly, even for a same-day transfer — creates a technical failure. The checker models your planned transfer schedule and flags any dates where the balance would breach the floor based on your inputs.
- Keep a ฿50,000–฿100,000 buffer above the threshold at all times
- Do not make large withdrawals in the 60-day window before your extension

Income method versus deposit method — which is right for you?
The income method avoids locking ฿800,000 in a low-interest Thai bank account. The deposit method avoids having to prove monthly income evidence from overseas.
