Generate your Thai visa document checklist

Missing one document at Jomtien Immigration means losing your queue number and returning another day. The Document Checklist generator asks for your visa type, extension or new application, and situational factors — landlord TM30 status, bank letter freshness, whether your spouse will attend — and outputs a prioritised, printable list of every document required at the counter.

The checklist reflects 2026 Jomtien counter standards. Document requirements vary between immigration offices; what Bangkok accepts on a Tuesday may differ from Jomtien on a Monday. Where known variations exist, the checklist notes them.

The TM30 problem in Pattaya

TM30 is the landlord's obligation to notify Immigration of a foreign national's address within 24 hours of arrival or address change. In Pattaya, many landlords — especially in older condo buildings — have never filed. Extensions are refused when TM30 is missing or shows a different address. Check your TM30 status at tm30.immigration.go.th before your appointment. If your landlord refuses to file, see our guide: TM30 reporting.

Bank letter timing

The bank letter for Non-O retirement must be issued within 7 days of your extension appointment at most offices; some Jomtien counter officers enforce 3–5 days. Get your letter the morning of your visit when possible. Mobile banking screenshots are not accepted — the letter must be stamped and signed by a bank branch officer.

When to confirm your checklist

Policy documents shift without public announcement. If you are applying for the first time, or switching visa types, have an agent verify your list before your appointment. An error on a first-time Non-O application can create delays that push you past your permission-to-stay date.
