Jomtien family beach district
5km of beachfront, more relaxed than central Pattaya, popular with retirees and families. Where it sits, what it costs, and who it suits.
Where Jomtien is
Jomtien Beach runs 5km south of central Pattaya, separated by Pratumnak Hill. The northern end (Jomtien Soi 1–10) is closest to Pattaya and busiest. The southern end (Soi 25+, toward Najomtien and Bang Saray) is quieter. Beach Road runs parallel to the coast; Second Road runs inland.
Vibe
Jomtien is family-friendly beach. The beach is wider and cleaner than central Pattaya. Russian, Chinese, and Western families predominate during high season. Restaurants and shops cater to long-stay residents rather than 3-day tourists. Less nightlife than central Pattaya — bars exist but no Walking Street equivalent.
